THE PAKISTAN ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA (PAA) ANNOUNCES AZADI MELA AT FAIRFIELD SHOWGROUNDS ON SUNDAY 12 AUGUST 2007
The Pakistan Association of Australia (PAA) is proud to announce their Azadi Mela or Independence Day Fair at Fairfield Showground on Sunday 13 August 2007.
The PAA will arrange great stalls, fantastic Pakistani food, live entertainment, kids rides and plus much more. “Record crowds of over 5,000 people attended the event this year from all parts of the Australian Pakistani and Indian communities.” Mr Naseer Taseer, Vice President of Youth said whilst on holidays in the UK.
The PAA will be holding a cricket competition the day before and all members of the Australian Pakistani and wider Australian community are encouraged to enter.
“We were incredibly pleased with the response from the recent Azadi Mela. The PAA has therefore put the wheels in motion for next year.” Wajiha Ahmed, General Secretary said today.
