A simple flag hoisting ceremony was held in Canberra on Pak's Independence Day
Keeping in view the catastrophic flood in the country, a simple flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistan High Commission Canberra on Saturday, 14th August at 9am to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by Pakistani families.
After flag hoisting, the messages of the President and the Prime Minister were read out. The High Commissioner briefly highlighted the importance of the day and sensitized the participants on the difficult situation caused by unprecedented floods in Pakistan. She urged them to donate generously for relief and rescue efforts of the Government.
