Nasha-e-Sangeet 2008 presented by SNSR featuring Sydney's Concert Band – JAZBA
was held on Saturday evening May 3rd at Castle Grand, Castle Hill Sydney. This
was a big start to 2008 and Rucha Lange, Avijit Sarkar, Shivangi Vyaas, Dr.
Sadiq Rehmani and many other local Indian & Pakistani singers impressed the
crowd with amazing sounds, lighting and projection.
Nasha-e-Sangeet is a concert of Easy listening Bollywood music and is a concert
with a wonderful twist. The first half featured the best of the latest hits and
the second half started with Sydney's only Hindi –Pakistani Session which was
then followed by a trip through the past with songs of yester years. At all
times the focus was on classy and easy listening music. Jazba has a reputation
of presenting musical complexity with ease and their 3 shows organised by SNSR
have all been sold out in very short amounts of time in Sydney. The Castle
Grand, Castle Hill show was also full with many dignities including the High
Commissioner of Pakistan Syed Jalil Abbas Jilani. The catering arrangements were
also very well organised.
