Pakistan Association of New Zealand Celebrated the 65th Independence Day of Pakistan
On 30th July because of Holy Month of Ramadan starting on 01August.Pakistan emerged as a new country on the world map on 14th August 1947.The function was attended by Honourable Phil Goff leader of the Opposition,, Honourable Hekia Prata Minister for Ethnic affairs. Members of Parliament Dr Rajen Prasad( Labor) Dr Jackie Blue(national) Honourable Kanwaljit Bakhshi(National) and representatives from WORLD VISION , New Zealand Electoral office and Dignitories from other Associations.
His Excellency Syed Ibne Abbas High Commissioner of Pakistan was the chief Guest of the program as he has got involved in the Pakistani community so much that people love him and consider him part of Family. A big thanks to him for awarding a prize of $2000.00 for all the performing children and $500 for a Pakistani Singer MIRZA Sahib.
