Government of Pakistan May appoint Respectable Senior Career Diplomat Mr. Abdul Malik Abdullah as a New High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia

Ms Fauzia Nasreen, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia was retired in Dec 2010 and this important post is Vacant. Now in Canberra, Minister and DHC Mr.Tasawar Khan is working as a Acting High commissioner of Pakistan.

The High Level diplomatic sources of Islamabad informed Sada-e-Watan that Government of Pakistan is appointing Mr. Abdul Malik Abdullah as a New High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia. Mr. Abdul Malik Abdullah is respectable senior career diplomat. He joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1977 and then served at the Headquarters Islamabad. He also served as Consul General of Pakistan in Germany and has held various diplomatic assignments in Missions abroad. Later Mr. Abdul Malik Abdullah was promoted as a Ambassador of Pakistan and he was posted as Ambassador in different countries.

At present, Mr. Abdul Malik Abdullah is working at the Prime Minister of Pakistan's Secretariat Islamabad. He is Additional Secretary to the PM of Pakistan for the Foreign & Social Sector Affairs (FSA) wing. Sada-e-Watan is expecting that His Excellency Mr. Abdul Malik Abdullah will take up his appointment as a High Commissioner of Pakistan in the end of April 2011.
