Former Chief Minister Sind Aftab Shaban Mirani & other MNA completed official tour of Australia

Aftab Shaban Mirani is a senior Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party and respectable
Politician from Shikarpur Sindh, Pakistan. Mr. Aftab Mirani was Chief Minister
of Sindh and also served as Federal Minister of Defence in Benazir Bhutto's
government. Following the resignation of President General Pervez Musharraf in
August 2008 he was for a time considered to be a potential successor.
In the general election of 2008 Mirani stood for as a candidate for the NA-202
seat of Shikarpur and Khanpur in the National Assembly. He won the seat
defeating Dr. Ibrahim Jatoi of the National Peoples Party, by 47,379 votes to
39,405. Now Former Defence Minister is representative for the NA-202
constituency. Mr. Aftab Shaban Mirani is a member of the Public accounts
committee (PAC) of National Assembly of Pakistan.

Last week he was on one week official visit of Australia. Mr. Aftab Mirani was head of the delegate of PAC to attend Annual Summer Residency training for public accounts committee at La Trobe University, Melbourne Australia. Mr.Hamid Yar Hiraj MNA ,Mr Ayaz Sadiq MNA, Mrs Yasmin Rehman MNA was members of the delegation who came to Melbourne for a course in Public accounts & audit that course was sponsored by World Bank & UNO for parliamentarians of more than ten Asian countries at La Trobe University Beech Worth campus, which is three hours drive from Melbourne.
In Victoria Mr. Aftab Mirani meets members of the Australian Pakistani community and attended few function. In Melbourne, Prof. Ahmad Nawaz Awan General Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party of Australia hosted a dinner in honour of Mr. Afatb Shaban Mirani Ex CM Sindh, Ex Defence Minister, MNA and senior leader of PPP.
