Pakistani Community Leaders Dinner with Former Premier of New South Wales Bob Carr
On Thursday 22 October 2009, Respected Pakistani community Leaders had dinner with Former Premier of NSW Honorable Bob Carr , Honorable Tanya Gadial Deputy Speaker of the NSW Parliament Honorable Laurie Ferguson Parliamentary Secretary for settlement & Honorable Julie Owens Federal Member for Parramatta. This dinner was held at Brush Farm Bowling Club Ryde Sydney for the fundraising for the Parramatta branch of the NSW ALP.
The Pakistani delegation was included Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Vice President Pakistan Association of Australia, Pervaiz Khan Trustee Pakistan Association of Australia, Rana Naveed Akhter Vice President of Oil Mills Association of Pakistan, Dr Akram Hassan Advisor Sada-e-Watan Sydney , Ejaz Khan former President Pakistan Australia association and his close friend Avtar Bilu owner of Bilu’s Indian Eatry Harris Park, Parramatta and Epping Sydney. Mr Avtar Bilu also successfully bid to buy Parramatta Eels jersey signed by all the players for $1200.00 dollars. Pakistani community participation in this dinner was acknowledged and praised by the parliamentarians and Bob Carr.
