Mother of Shahnaz Hyder Begum Aliya Khatoon passed away in Sydney
Prominent Personality of Australian/ Pakistani Community & Mother of Shahnaz Hyder Begum Aliya Khatoon passed away in Sydney on Sunday, 12 June 2011 at 6pm.
Mr.Zahid Jamil of SAMAA & Mr. Rehan Alavi of SBS informed Sada-e-Watan that the Namaz-e-Janazah( Funeral Prayer) will be held on Monday 13 June after Namaz-e-Zuhr 12:10pm. Salat Al-Janazah will be held at the Lakemba Mosque, 65 Wangee Road Lakemba Sydney. All Friends are request to attend.
Begum Aliya Khatoon Siddiqui celebrates her 100th birthday at the Asian Muslim Association of Australia (SAMAA) annual event Jashne Buzurg 2011 on 12 March at Auburn Town Hall Sydney. During this function, Mona Zahid brief life story of Begum Aliya Khatoon and a slide show depicted some important events of her life from an early age. She was presented a flower bouquet by Mrs Kaniz Fatima and then crowned as the birthday girl who cut her 100th Birthday cake with a loud applause from the audience.
The Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney Mr. Azam Mohammed expressed his profound grief on the sad demise of Begum Aliya Khatoon. In a condolence Message through Sada-e-Watan CG Mr. Azam Mohammed sympathized with the family members of the deceased and offered ‘Fatiha’ for the departed soul. The Editorial Board of Sada-e-Watan Prayed to ALLAH Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to her family members to bear this irrepairable loss.
