Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
I am writing to you on behalf of Canberra Islamic Centre (CIC) Executive Committee in the holy month of Ramadan to seek your financial support and prayer for on going Islamic project in our National Capital. We acknowledge your generosity in the past and urge you to continue to assist in setting up this Islamic institution and an infrastructure for the Muslim community.
Canberra Islamic Centre is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic organisation of over twelve hundred members and is therefore, one of the largest Islamic organisations in Australia. The Centre is now in the process of constructing main courtyard of the complex, which is a central Islamic architectural feature. When completed, the complex will InshaAllah provide the health, social, educational, recreational and aged care facilities to the community. The complex has capacity to accommodate up to about 3000 people during special religious ceremonies and festivals. At this stage we have completed the foundation and construction of the concrete block wall for the colonnade and four portal gateway structures. Next phase of the work involves installation of metal roof and concrete paving on all four sides of the colonnade and the gateways. The estimated cost to finish this phase is about $120,000.
Because of insufficient fund we have planned to undertake this work in four segments. The first phase is to finish off two of the gateways and the covered walkway link in front of the main building. This will allow proper access to the building. We are looking forward to receive your Zakat and Sadaqats and generous donation to raise the required fund in coming months. We are now in the holy month of Ramadan and have an opportunity to multiply our reward for every good deed at least seventy times.
I specifically ask you to make a financial commitment small or large to help us out for this noble cause. Your donation is an investment in the path of Islam that will benefit to the Muslim generations in Canberra/Australia. As mentioned in the Holy Qur'an (64.17)
If you lend Allah a fair loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. Allah is All Grateful, All Clement.
