NSW Friends of Labor – Arabic Community Fund raising dinner at Bankstown

On Tuesday 8th March, NSW Friends of Labor – Arabic Community Fund raising dinner was held at the Bellevue Reception Centre Bankstown Sydney. The function was arranged for support of local MP's and candidates including, The Hon. David Borger, The Hon. Paul Lynch, The Hon Barbara Perry, Allen Ashton MP, Robert Furolo MP, and Mayor Tania Mihailuk Candidate for the seat of Bankstown.
The dinner was attended by many distinguished members of the Arabic community, media, business people and politicians including Federal MP's Daryl Melhem and Laurie Ferguson and a number of Councillors including Clr Ali Karnib, Clr Hicham Zreika,Clr Fadwa Kebe, Clr Joe Awada and Clr Khal Asfour.There was also representations from the Vietnamese, Chinese and Pakistani communities.The Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane MLC would like to Special thanks to the NSW friends of Labor who helped organise the function including Sam Asmar, Ali Ibrahim,Khalil Ibrahim,Clr Hicham Zreika, Clr Fadwa Kebbe, Clr Joe Awada, Clr Ali Karnib and Mr.Louay Mustapha.
Just over 200 people attended and around $18,000 before expenses were raised. We wish all of our ALP members recontesting and new candidates well on this Saturday 26 March election day and call on our communities to rally behind the ALP, the only party that truly represents the people of NSW.
