Australian Government want to question two Pakistani Doctors

The Australian government has reportedly sent a request to the Pakistani government to interrogate Dr Akmal Waheed and Dr Arshad Waheed, the brothers, who were sentenced to a total of 18 years by an anti-terrorism court on March 14, 2005 of harbouring and providing medical treatment to activists of the banned Jundullah group.

According to Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah, last year, the Karachi police arrested an Australian national and extradited him. The man is currently under trial in Australia for terrorism charges. When he was interrogated, the man reportedly revealed that he had links with the two Pakistani doctors, which is why the Australian government asked to interrogate them. Sources said that in addition to the Australians, representatives of the Commonwealth and European Union wanted to be part of the delegation that would meet the Pakistani doctor brothers Dr.Akmal & Dr.Arshad.
