Australia to fund $ 6.6 million in agriculture research in Pakistan

The Australian government has allocated $6.6 million for the period of four years to strengthen agriculture sector interaction among Pakistan’s commercial, academic and research institutions through joint activities between the two countries.

In this regard, the minister for industries, production and special initiatives Jehangir Khan Tareen met Australian delegation currently visiting Pakistan in light of the visit of President General Pervez Musharraf to Australia in June 2005. The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia Mr. Babar W. Malik is glad to hear this good news.
