Moulana Abdul Wasay Senior Minister & high level delegation of Balochisatn’s visited Perth & Sydney
A High level delegation led by Balochisatn’s Senior Minister P&D and comprising of Minister of Mines, and Senior Baluchisatn Govt officials dealing with Mines and Planning visited Australia from 18 to 27 Sept for cooperation in Mining Sector.
Moulana Abdul Wasay, Senior Minister was head of the delegation and delegation was included Mir Abdul Rehman Mengal, Provincial Minister for Mines and Mineral Dept, Ali Zaheer Hazara,Chief Secretary Baluchistan, Mushtaq Raisani, Secretary Mines and Mineral Dept,Syed Sikander Shah, Chief of Section Mines and Mineral Dept, Zamran Marri, Asst Chief Mines and Mineral Dept & other officials Govt of Balochisatn.
The purpose of the visit was exploration of possibilities of cooperating with Australia in the sector of mining and for contracting with Australian firm the possibility of providing training in mines operation and setting up of mines and emergency response centres.
Baluchistan is a natural resource rich region and there are Australian companies who have also undertaken investment there. Thus the visit of the delegation will further contribute to strengthening Australia-Pakistan economic relations and Pakistani and Australian companies will mutually benefit.
They visited mines and had meetings with many companies in Perth.M/S Sustainabilty Western Australia was the main driver of this visit and they arranged their visit in Perth. Very productive meetings were held including with Western Australia Chamber of Commerce President.
In Sydney they met with M/s Kanji for cooperation in mines. The delegation visited the Pakistan Consulate Sydney for talks with Consul General Mr. Azam Mohammed. Mr Iftikhar Rana, President Pakistan Association of Australia was also present during the meeting. Behalf of the Australian Pakistani Community, Mr. Iftikhar Rana welcome the delegation.In Sydney CBD,M/s kanji and Mr. Akhlaq Ramay hosted a dinner for the official delegation Govt of Balochisatn.
