Ambassdor Jalil Abbas Jilani hosted Pakistan Day Reception in Belgium
The 70th anniversary of Pakistan Day was celebrated by the Pakistani community in Belgium with great fervor and enthusiasm. The main event held in the premises of Pakistan embassy in Brussels, was attended by a large number of the Pakistani community. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, European Union and Luxembourg Syed Jalil Abbas Jilani, highlighted the growing relationship between Pakistan and Belgium. He also urged the Pakistani community to work hard and promote the image of the nation and country abroad by their sense of commitment, hard work and exemplary manners.
Ambassador Jalil Jilani said today Pakistan was enjoying democratic dispensation, free judiciary, vibrant parliament and independent media being the foundation stone for empowerment of the people, progress, prosperity and economic betterment. National anthem was also played. Messages of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani were read out to the audience.
A reception was hosted by the Ambassador Syed Jalil Abbas Jilani later in the day which was attended by the parliamentarians, academicians, members of the diplomatic community, scholars, prominent citizens, local journalists senior government officials, businessmen and notable members of Pakistan community
