The Ministry of Labor, Manpower & Overseas Pakistanis (Overseas Pakistanis Division) have informed that they are is holding a two day Overseas Pakistanis Investment Conference (OPIC) at Islamabad Convention Center, during the third week of December, 2006. The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan are expected to attend the inaugural and closing sessions of the conference, which is expected to be attended by about 200 Overseas Pakistanis.
It is worth mentioning that The President of Pakistan will inaugurate the conference and the Prime Minister will be Chief Guest at the concluding session. 200 participants will be selected on first come first served basis and 50% of room rent charges for three night stay will be borne by the Government. More information is available on Ministry of LM&Ops & OPF websites. These websites can also be accessed through Pakistan’s gateway, i.e. www.pakistan.gov.pk
You are requested to kindly circulate it among the Community and to publish it in newspaper Sada-e-Watan Sydney. The Persons willing to attend the Conference may also kindly inform this Consulate if they are willing to attend the Conference, so that we can coordinate and facilitate their participation.
