Consul General of Pakistan Azam Mohammed hosted a dinner for the University of Sydney Urdu Language Students
The Consul General of Pakistan Mr Azam Mohammed hosted a dinner at his residence in honour of the students who are learning Urdu language in the University of Sydney. In the dinner few dignitaries from the Pakistani community including Dr Akram Hassan , the advisor of Sada-e-Watan Sydney, Mr Jaffer Nadeem Country Manager of Pakistan International Airlines Australia, Mr Mohammad Asif, CEO, Citilink Finance and Renowned Solicitor Ejaz Khan former President Pakistan Association of Australia were also invited.
The host, Mr Azam Mohammed warmly welcomed the guests especially Mr Dallas Cooke, the Co-ordinator of languages in the Centre of Continuing Education Sydney University, the students and their teacher Mr Zawar Shah. “This is a rare opportunity and my privilege to thank the CCE and its Co-ordinator for starting Urdu language classes for first time in the history of Australia.” Mr Mohammed said.
Mr Shah introduced the
students of the Sydney University to the members of the Pakistani community. The
students asked various questions about Pakistan which were answered by the
community leaders especially the Consul General. The question answer session was
followed by the Pakistani dinner which was immensely liked and praised by the
non-Pakistani students.
At the end Mr Cooke thanked the Consul General Azam Mohammed and his family for
the hospitality.
