Mr. Sultan Allana Chairman Habib Bank Limited Spent a Week in China
Mr. Sultan Allana visited
China during the visit of President General Pervez Musharraf to build on
the ground work carried out by Mohammad Aslam EVP & Chief Representative. The
activities included net working with local banks, corporate & singing of the MOU
with UCCB.
Mr. Allana hosted a dinner in Beijing for Mr. Ismayil Talewaldi Governor of
Xinjiang Autonomous Region who travelled to Beijing to join in the signing of
MOU between HBL & Urumqi City Commercial Bank. He also called on the Chairman
Bank of China, Assistant President EXIM Bank of China. In the presence of
President General Pervez Musharraf & Mr. Ismayil Talewaldi Governor of Xinjinag
he & Mohammad Aslam signed MOU with UCCB on behalf of HBL.
Mr. Humayun Akhtar Khan
in his speech acknowledged the forward looking approach of Habib Bank Limited
since privatization and congratulated the management for the China initiative.
Mr Allana also visited Urumqi to meet the Chairman & other executives of UCCB,
attended the dinner & lunch hosted for him by Mr. Ismayil Talewaldi Governor
Xinjinag & Mayor of Urumqi City respectively. Before returning to Pakistan he
hosted a dinner for local banks in Shanghai & attended the lunch hosted for him
by Mr. Zafaruddin Mahmood Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai.
