Australian navy Vice Admiral Russ crane on Monday, 26th Jan (Australia Day)
visited naval Headquarters in Islamabad. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman
Bashir received him on his arrival. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan
navy presented him the Guard of Honour and he was introduced to the Principal
Staff Officers at the Naval Headquarters.
Later, the visiting dignitary, called on Chief of the Naval Staff and was also
given detailed briefing on “Organization, Vision and Development Plans of
Pakistan Navy”.
Likely avenues of collaboration between two navies were also touched upon during
the briefing. The Admiral Russ crane will also be visiting Karachi, where he
will visit various PN Units and will also call on high ranking officials. This
visit will further strengthen the already existing friendly ties between the two
countries Australia & Pakistan.
