CIC Needs continued support and donations
With work on Phase One of the CIC
complex now complete, we would like to thank you for your ongoing support and
donations over the past 10 years in helping us reach this milestone. As a result
of your generosity, we are now a fully functioning Muslim Community Centre which
facilitates and supports many religious and cultural activities to which members
of the Islamic and wider community of ACT participate.
Now, with the size of our community expanding every year, there is a strong
desire expressed by the membership for the need for a Masjid (or dedicated place
of worship) to be built within the CIC site. As a result, we are now reviewing
the scope of Phase Two of the complex with a view to, InshaAllah, including a
dedicated prayer facility to serve as a Masjid. To this end we are, once again,
looking for your continued support and donations. An initial cost estimate is
being calculated to build Phase Two (including the Masjid, Museum and other
facilities), and we hope to provide this figure at the Fund Rising Dinner. Based
on past history, CIC's achievements to date and with your generous donations we
shall, InshaAllah achieve this in the not too distant future.
