Sale of Habib Finance Australia Limited shares to Citilink Finance
(Media Release to Sada-e-Watan Sydney)

As part of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) international repositioning strategy we have sold our shares in Habib Finance (Australia) Limited (HFAL) to Citilink Finance Australia Limited (Citilink). Consequently effective close of business June 29, 2007 the entire HBL shareholding in HFAL has been sold to Citilink. At the request of Citilink and under an agency arrangement, HBL will process all Citilink's remittances to Pakistan from Australia. Habib Bank Limited has
no equity investment or any financial arrangement or association with Citilink for doing any financial services business in Australia.
HBL wishes to thank all its patrons for their support for over twenty years of Habib Finance Australia Limited's operations in Australia. We are confident that Citilink will continue providing service to the community and the Australian businesses for their remittances and other business needs.
