CITILINK FINANCE TAKES OVER 100% SHARES OF HABIB FINANCE AUSTRALIA LIMITED

Citilink is pleased to announce that Citilink Finance (Australia) Limited has purchased 100% shares of Habib Finance in Australia and aims to provide the enhanced levels of service which people were receiving earlier. The customers will still be dealing with same local management & staff under the stewardship of Mr. Muhammad Asif, who has been Head of Habib Finance for last many years. He will remain the head of Citilink Finance working as Chief Executive Officer / Director of the company along with other two directors Mr. Iftikhar Rana of Rana Leasing & Finance and Mr. Sadaqat Siddiq of Cheetah Group of companies. The office is still located in the same premises at level 7, 32 Martin Place Sydney NSW 2000. Habib Bank senior team members Mr. Mohammad Aslam, Executive Vice President & RGM (Pacific Region) along with Mr. Wajahat Rasul Khan Executive Vice President & Head Fincon International Banking Group were present in Sydney to conclude the deal with Citilink Finance. They spent their day and night sitting with Mr. Muhammad Asif & their team to make it happen for the first time in the history of Habib Bank.

Commencing as a Relationship Manager with Habib Bank, Corporate Centre, Karachi Pakistan in 1998 and moving to Corporate Centre General Manager, Marketing in 1999-2000, Mr. Asif was then appointed in 2000 to the position of General Manager, Operations for HBL in the same centre. In 2002 he was appointed in Habib Finance Australia Limited (HFAL) and has remained Head for last few years up to the recent MBO.
