She also highlighted Pakistan’s leading role in United Nations peacekeeping operations, where Pakistani peacekeepers have consistently demonstrated professionalism, courage, and a commitment to global peace.

 

Underscoring key areas of Pakistan - Australia bilateral relations, she referred to education forming a vibrant bridge between the two countries as well as the invaluable contributions of Pakistani diaspora. She dwelt upon the strong Pakistan - Australia bilateral ties in the realm of defence & security and referred to immense potential to expand bilateral relations in trade & investment, agriculture, minerals and technology. 

 

Brigadier Muhammad Laique Rafiq, Defence Adviser, reaffirmed the armed forces’ resolve to uphold Pakistan’s security and strategic interests, stating that 6th September remains a solemn reminder of the nation’s enduring spirit and sacrifice.

 

The event was well attended by senior Australian government and defence officials, members of the diplomatic corps, defence attachés from friendly nations, media representatives, and members of the Pakistani community in Australia.
