A 10 member’s delegation of National School of Public Policy Lahore is on official visit of Australia
The National School of Public Policy,formerly known as The Pakistan Administrative Staff College was established in Nov 1960.The college was converted into National School of Public Policy through an Ordinance promulgated on 26 October 2002.National school of Public Policy is located on Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam Lahore.
The College organizes a high profile course called the National Management Course (NMC) twice a year for senior civil servants (Joint Secretary level). So far the College has organized 84 National Management Courses (NMC).The aim of the National Management Course is to enable senior officers of the Federal and Provincial Civil Services, friendly countries (allied participants) and senior executives from the private sector to understand factors bearing on formulation and implementation of public policy, with a view to preparing them for assignments at national policy level.
Pakistan’s National School of Public Policy is the premier institution for training of senior Federal Govt officials and they undergo a mandatory training for their promotion to the next higher grade of Additional Secretary level (next step being federal secretary level). As part of their curriculum, they also undertake foreign country visit to learn of systems there as you are aware, as you had very kindly addressed such a group a couple of years ago.
This year, A 10 member delegation headed by the Dean Mr.Iftikhar Ahmad is visiting Australia.They tour Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.Mrs. Rukhsana Shah of Faculty is Dy.Group Leader and Syed Akhtar Ali Shah,Syed Anzer Ismail Rizvi,Dr. Safdar Ali Sohail,Mr. Muhammad Hassan Rizvi, Mr. Arif Ibrahim,Mr. Rizwan Bashir Khan & Syed Shams-uz-Zaman Shah are members of the delegation.

On the evening of Sunday,27th Nov 2011, The President Pakistan Association of Australia Mr.Iftikhar Rana hosted a dinner in the honour of the delegation.The dinner was held at the Spice of Life Restaurant Harris Park Sydney. The dinner was attended by Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney Mr. Azam Mohammed, Professor Farhat Yusuf,Syed Zafar Hussain,Pervaiz Buttar,Ashraf Chohan,Ch.Shahid Iqbal and officials of Pakistan Consulate Sydney.
