President of World Federation Dr. Asgarali Moledina is Coming on 3 day Visit of Australia

MWA is pleased to announce that the President of World Federation, Dr. Asgarali Moledina will be visiting Sydney from 14 -17 March 2012. Dr. Moledina has spent his life to serve the most needy with particular reference to Africa and the sub-continent as is obvious from his profile below.

Dr Asgharali Moledina's present tour includes New Zealand ,Australia and Hong Kong. He has been to Newzealand last week. On the 10th of March,he has addressed a gathering in Panjtan Society Melbourne.

During his visit in Sydney, MWA will be hosting a dinner in his honour on Wednesday, 14 March 2012 at the Himalaya Restaurant, Granville after which he will be making a brief visit to MWA Centre at Granville Sydney.On 15 March in the morning, Dr. Moledina will visit Bellfield College Rossmore and also he will visit Al Zahra Mosque Arncliffe Sydney.Dr. Moledina will attend a dua-Kumail on Thursday, the 15 March 2012. MWA is thankful to Dr. Moledina for a brief visit to Sydney and Dr. Sultan Aly for Assistance with his schedule during the visit.

PROFILE  OF  DR. ASGHARALI  G. K. MOLEDINA

 Born in Mombasa, KENYA, Dr. Moledina after his Primary and High School studies in his hometown, did his Medicine from Grant Medical College, Mumbai (the then Bombay) after standing first in All India Medical Examination.    He participated in various Charity and voluntary activities while studying MEDICINE in INDIA and kept in close touch with BOMBAY JAMAAT and its leadership, specially the youths. 

He worked as Resident Houseman at AGA KHAN HOSPITAL from 1975 – 1976.  From 1976 to 1979 worked at NAIROBI HOSPITAL and then went into private practice in NAIROBI. He later moved to KAMPALA, UGANDA in 1982 to set up a pharmaceutical distribution business which is now spread in Mozambique, Angola, South Africa and East Coast of USA (with base in New York).  His services with the Khoja Jamaat are immense, with only some brief details provided below:

 1. In NAIROBI served as NAIROBI JAMAAT COMMITTEE member and helped at that time  set up THE JAMAAT CLINIC in NAIROBI.

 2. With the help of Mo’ameneen in KAMPALA  repossessed all the community properties in the whole of  UGANDA which by value terms exceeded U.S. $ 3million or more. All these properties were renovated together with the help of KAMPALA JAMAAT and AFRICA FEDERATION.

 3. He was part of the group with Late MULLA ASGAHRALI MM JAFFER when the WORLD FEDERATION Was established with secretariat in LONDON. Served as Nominated   (1994 – 2000 )and  later as Elected Councillor at WORLD FEDERATION (terms being years 2000 – 2003 , 2003 – 2006, 2006 – 2009).

 4. Dr. Moledina was among the first two Doctors to SERVE ON the first HAJJ MEDICAL MISSION  TEAM  in 1977.

 5. He has been regularly involved in various activities involving religious institutions, welfare centres and hospitals in India and Pakistan.

 6. He served as Vice-Chairman of AFRICA FEDERATION 2004 – 2007.

 7.  He was elected as PRESIDENT  of the World Federation in 2009 – 2011 and term and later re-elected unopposed for 2011-2014 term.

 INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SERVICE:

 1. He has been involved in KAMPALA for the care of  orphans and the needy and organized FREE MEDICAL CAMPS for children and in various Nutritional programs in Mozambique and SOUTH AFRICA for  needy  children.

 2.  Supporting deserving children, specially the indigenous ones  in pursuit of their studies at  High school level and Universities. With this vision the BLESS (BILAL LOAN EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARHSIP SCHEME) was set up at AFRICA FEDERATION level to look after the tertiary education needs of deserving and needy indigenous students

 3. Have actively participated in various projects in the Sub continent of INDIA and PAKISTAN.
