Dr Assad Zahid & Dr Nisa Sherrif Wedding at the Westin Hotel, Martin Place Sydney
Mr Zahid Jamil and Mrs Mona Zahid hosted the walima ceremony of their son Dr Assad Zahid at the grand ball room of the Westin Hotel, Martin Place Sydney on Saturday,7 July 2012. Nearly four hundred guests attended the grand ceremony. Maulana Nazir ul Hassan Thanvi commenced the evening with Quran recitation and family members on both sides delivered very fine speeches. Mrs Shahnaz Hyder sung a melodius sehra composed by Assad's uncle Dr Javed Jamil.
A week earlier Assad got married to Dr Nisa Sherrif at a grand reception hosted by Nisa's parents Dr Aejaz Sheriffe and Dr Talath Sheriff at the Palladium grand ballroom of Crown plaza in Melbourne. Over several weeks pre-wedding ceremonies were held both in Sydney and Melbourne.
