Governor State Bank of Pakistan Dr. Shamshad Akhtar is visiting Australia

More than 210 delegates from across the Asia Pacific region are attending an anti money laundering conference in Perth to combat the financing of terrorism. The 10th Annual Meeting and 6th Annual Technical Assistance and Training Forum of the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering starts from Monday, 23rd July and runs until Friday, 27th July 2007.
Global anti-money laundering strategies and special recommendations to combat the financing of terrorism are on the agenda.

The Governor State Bank of Pakistan Dr. Shamshad Akhtar is head of the delegation of Pakistan. The New High Commissioner of Pakistan Syed Jalil Abbas Jilani is specially traveling from Canberra to Western Australia to welcome Dr. Shamshad Akhtar and attend this important international conference.
