Dr. Shaukat Javed & Justice Javed Iqbal's parents killed in Lahore

Mr. Latif Chaudhary Editor Pak Link informed the sad news to Sada-e-Watan that Sydney’s famous personality Dr. Shaukat Javed & Justice Javed Iqbal Senior Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan's  Parents have been murdered as they seemed to have resisted a robbery attempt in Cavalry Ground, Defence Lahore on late Tuesday night of 11th January 2011.Inallillah Wa-Inaa-Alleh Rajoon.

 From Islamabad,Justice Javed Iqbal arrived at his Lahore residence. Pak Air Force has provided Justice Javed with a  special plane to fly him to Lahore. Dr. Shaukat Javed also traveling Pakistan from Sydney. Dr Shaukat’ Father Mr. Malik  Abdul Hameed Retired DIG Police was 80 years and Dr. Shaukat & Jastice Javed Mother Mrs. Amna Begum was 70 years.

Preliminary investigations suggested that Malik Abdul Hameed and Zarina Begum were suffocated to death in their bedroom.
The house was being guarded round the clock by at least four policemen.Perhaps the killers used pillows to asphyxiate the couple because no marks were found on their necks. Two policemen deputed outside the house had been taken into custody. A relative of the deceased told investigators that he had called police when he got no response after knocking at the door for quite some time. Policemen entered the house and found the bodies.A joint investigation team comprising nine officials of law enforcement agencies, including the FIA, police and the CIA, was set up.Initial information conveyed to the police high-ups suggested that Malik Hameed, a former DIG, and his wife had been killed while resisting an attempted robbery.

Meantime, Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa, Federal Law Minister Babar Awan, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry along with all the judges arrived at Justice Javed's residence. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani voiced grief over the sad incident and directed to submit an inquiry report in this regard within two days.

 In a condolence Message, Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney Mr. Azam Mohammed  Strongly condemned the tragic happening and sympathized with the family members of the deceased and offered ‘Fatiha’ for the departed souls. Mr. Azam Prayed to ALLAH Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to her family members to bear this irrepairable loss.
