President General Pervez Musharraf said Pakistan has effectively countered terrorism but renewed his call for concerted and pro-active efforts from all segments of the society for dealing with the malaise of extremism.
"We have to make collective efforts to address religious extremism and check sectarian violence," he underscored, wrapping up his two-day state visit with an address to a gathering of Pakistani community residing in the oil-rich Gulf country.
The President said the Government will also encourage production of value-added dairy products and establishment of fruit and food processing units for boosting the agrarian economy. Referring to his upcoming visit to Australia and New Zealand he said, Pakistan would like to benefit from their expertise in the field of dairy production.
