UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon - I will never forget the destruction and suffering I have seen. This is Worst natural disaster as more calamitous than the 2004 tsunami and earthquake of 2005.
Foreign Minister Stephen Smith - I urge Australians to get behind the Pakistan aid effort. He wants more Australians to step up and help after what United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon described as the worst humanitarian disaster he had ever seen.
Unicef's Regional Director for South Asia, Daniel Toole, has asked the world community to help Pakistan in these hard times and save lives of millions of the children who were exposed to water borne diseases due to heavy floods.
