elected as the First President of Harris Park Chamber of Commerce and Community

On 18 April 2010 Lord Mayor of Parramatta Councillor Paul Garrard officially launch Harris Park Chamber of Commerce and Community in a splendid reception hosted in the honour of the officials of the XIX Commonwealth Games due to held in Delhi in October 2010. The elected executive committee of the HPCBC:

Mr Ejaz Khan in his maiden speech thanked the Lord Mayor for providing opportunity to launch this organisation and highlighted its Mission:
Enhance networking among the local business and community along with business outside the Harris Park to enhance trade,
Provide effective voice to the member business and community to eliminate bad vibe surrounded Harris Park. Provide priority
Employment to the local community to improve socio economic standard, runs community base projects to generate awareness among the residents and new migrants in this area.
Generate awareness among the new migrants the Laws, and facilities available for them.
Communicate effectively with the authorities to enhance cooperation among the business and community.
Ejaz Khan said recent student issues and few security issues has given a bad publicity to the Harris Park as a result Businesses and Community has suffered significantly. This was the moment when I realise that we should have a platform from where we can provide assistance to the businesses and community and wipe out the bad vibe to spread further. Australia is a piece of heaven on earth and Australian are not racist but I acknowledge that we have bad elements in our society which are found in every society in the world whos action give bad name o the country he added. Harris Park Chamber will work with the authorities to stop such people to carry their bad motives in future.
Mr Khan thanked Avtar Bilu , Gurmeet Tuly , John Chidied Councillor Parramatta, Hon. David Borger Minister for Housing for their hard work to put this organisation together.
This Cocktail Reception was held at Riverside Theatre Courtyard Parramatta Sydney and attended by:

The Queen baton started its journey from Harris Park on 19/10/2010. This baton will travel to 71 countries before reaching to Indian in Aug 2010.
