Bazm-i-Adab Australia’s Essay competition about URDU Language
Bazm-i-Adab Australia is pleased to
announce an essay writing competition, titled “Can URDU language flourish with
the onslaught of Internet” / "Kya Urdu Zuban internet ki bhermar ke bawajood
taraqqi kar sakti hai". The purpose of the competition is to encourage and
develop writing skills for our younger generation.
The competition is open to all and will be held in two age groups. Group one is
for high school and college students and the 2nd group is for university /
mature age students. A panel of judges will select the best essay from each
group. The best essay will carry a cash prize of A$250.00 each. The selected
essays will also be published in the Bazm-i-Adab’s quarterly magazine “BUNYAAD”.
Rules:
Essays must be written in Urdu or English.
Essays must be less than 1500 words.
The decision of panel of the Judges will be final and cannot be challenged.
The family members of Bazm-i-Adab executive committee are not eligible for the
prize but they are encouraged to write.
All entries must be received by 15th July 2008 (extended date) either by e-mail to
