The book
launching of famous Urdu poetess of Australia Farhat Iqbal 's Urdu Poetry book "
Tanhai Ke Makaan Mein " and the annual Mushaira organised by the Bazme-e -Urdu
New Zealand on 12 June 2011 in Auckland was a great success. The launching was
done by Honourable Mr. Kanwaljeet Singh, a local Member of Parliament followed
by recitals of the opening verses by Leena Mazharullah and Mr .Mohammed
Naeem.Mrs Farhat Iqbal then read out the Nazm on mother (Mamta ).Her book is
dedicated to her mother .
The Mushaira was compered by Leena Mazharullah and Professor Mohammed Raees Alvi
, being the Sadare Mehfil lit the candle.Among the prominent poets were Farhat
Iqbal , Co - founder and former President of Bazme -e- Urdu now living in
Sydney, Australia, Professor Mohammed Raees Alvi , Registrar of Karachi
University Pakistan, Leena Mazharullah , Sayed Mujeeb and other esteemed local
poets.The chief guest was Hon.Mr Kanwaljeet Singh.
Radio personalities were also present. The programmed finished at 11 pm and
Mrs.Leena Mazharullah who is the current chairperson of the Bazme -e - Urdu New
Zealand , thanked the participants and the huge audience followed by the
recitation of a few beautiful nazms by Professor Mohammed Raees Alvi .
The welcoming dinner was hosted by Mrs Leena Mazharullah at her posh residence and the farewell was given by Mr.Mohammed Naeem Sahib - executive member of the Bazm-e - Urdu New Zealand.
