Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi Attended Fundraising Dinner to Build a Mosque at Liverpool Sydney

Al Hamdhu Lillah, the fund raising dinner for Ahle Sunnat Mosque & Community Centre at Liverpool Sydney Project held on Sunday, 19th July 2009 was a great success. It was held at Stars Palace Fairfield Sydney. The Function was attended by representatives of famous Islamic Associations and Consul General of Pakistan Azam Mohammed. This was a memorable evening with a near full capacity patronage of 300 seats by a diverse multicultural Muslim population ranging from Middle Eastern to South East Asian origin Pakistan, India & Fiji coming from all corners of Sydney to Stars Palace Fairfield Sydney.
International Scholar and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Government of Pakistan Allama Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi MNA was Keynote Speaker & Chief Guest of the function. On Behalf of the Ahle Sunnat Culture & Welfare Association, Maulana Iftikhar Hazavi welcomed all guests and thanked all Brothers and Sisters who contributed $ 100.00 per head for the Mosque Fundraising dinner. Maulana Hazarvi briefed about Ahle Sunnat Centre Sydney and said that they have already raised $ 175,000 including donation, commitment and interest free Loan but require a lot money for the construction project. They still need at least half a million dollars more to complete the project within one year. Maulana Hazarvi urged all Muslims to support further in making the Liverpool Ahle Sunnat Centre & Mosque a reality. Before the dinner there was a traditional Arabic Zikr-e-Rasool & Naat by Manzar Mirza. Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Religious Affairs Allama Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi addressed the audience regarding Shab-e-Mairaj, the holy prophet's night journey through the seven heavens.
