Government of Pakistan announce 5000 Kanals housing project in Islamabad. According to available details to Sada-e-Watan Sydney, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation will complete all development work with International standard. OPF Valley Zone-V Islamabad is located on Japan Road alongside the Sawn River, about 24 kilometres from Zero Point. About 5000 kanals of land for the scheme have been purchased/ acquired for the scheme. M/S NESPAK have been appointed the project consultant for designing and planning scheme. The Master plan of the scheme has since been completed. The scheme is planned to accommodate around 2246 residential plots. Besides the residential and the commercial plots there are plans to provide 200 pre-constructed houses and apartments. Adequate educational and recreational facilities including lakes, parks, amenities club etc, would also be provided in the scheme. Key Developments in the scheme are as under: § M/S NESPAK has completed the Designing & Planning of the scheme. § Permission to start development work has been obtained from C.D.A. § Final possession of land and start of Civil Work i.e. preparatory plans are in process. SALE OF PLOTS NOT YET OPEN
Out of 2246 residential plots, 1200 plots in two phases have already been allotted to the respective overseas Pakistanis. Applications on prescribed forms for allotment of remaining plots will be invited earlier next year i.e. after commencement of Development Works. After commencement of development works, OPF will announce the scheme through print and electronic media, and in OPF Monthly Magazine "Yaran-e-Watan" as well. Detailed information with regard to sizes of plots, their prices and price of printed brochure will be included in the advertisement to be published in the leading national dailies. Yaran-e-Watan is available through annual subscription fee of Rs. 900/- per year for overseas and Rs. 360/- within Pakistan, copy of which will be dispatched on the given mailing address, if subscribed. OPF Board of Governors has already approved to issue tender documents to the pre-qualified contractors.
