Marrickville Councilor Saeed Khan makes NSW Greens Upper House ticket
The Greens NSW have pre-selected a full ticket of 21 candidates for the NSW Upper House. Voters will be able to vote for The Greens above the line on the ballot paper. Councilor Saeed Khan of Marrickville is one of the 6 leading candidates for the Legislative Council. Councilor Saeed Khan said: “The Greens believe that multiculturalism is a vital and central foundation of a successful and cohesive society.
The Greens will restore the Ministry for Multiculturalism and Ethnic Affairs, that was abolished in 1999." “This is just one of a range of practical measures that The Greens will use to defend NSW’s diverse communities by ensuring that they have a dedicated voice in all government decision making,” says Saeed Khan.
