The Acting Consul General of Pakistan Hamid Asghar Attends NSW Premier's Iftar Dinner
The Acting Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney Mr Hamid Asghar attended an interfaith Iftar dinner hosted by Premier of New South Wales the Honourable Christina Keneally.The dinner was hosted by the Premier at NSW Parliament Building and was attended by a large number of Ministers, Members of Parliament, Diplomats, Religious Scholars and Community Leaders from diverse ethnic backgrounds.Special arrangements foroffering prayers had been made on the occasion and proceedings started with recitation from the Holy Quran.
While speaking with Mr Hamid Asghar during the event, the Premier of NSW Hon.Christina Keneally conveyed her personal concern and sorrow regarding the grave humanitarian situation arising due to the unprecedented floods in Pakistan.
