Former Speaker & Minister Hamid Nasir Chattha is coming to Australia

Chattha was born on November 15, 1944 in Lahore. He has been elected as MNA for
his fourth term. Politically affiliated with PML(J), he is the president of the
party. He was previously elected as MNA for the terms of 1985, 1990 and 1993.
He received his masters degree in political science from Government College
Lahore in 1966 followed by Bar-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn, U.K. Hamid Nasir
Chattha served as Speaker of the National Assembly from 1986-1988. As a federal
minister, he held the portfolio of Information and Broadcasting and Science and
Technology during 1985-1986 and later the portfolio of Planning during
1990-1993. He has also served as Provincial Minister of Punjab holding the
portfolio of Health and Education during 1981-1985. Married, he is the father of
two sons and two daughters. His hobbies include reading and watching cricket.
