Sept 2025, Pakistan’s High Commissioner-designate to Australia, Mr. Irfan
Shaukat, paid a farewell courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign
Minister Ishaq Dar before departing for Canberra to assume his new
responsibilities.
The Deputy Prime
Minister/ Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar appreciated Mr. Irfan Shaukat’s dedicated
and professional contributions as his Chief of Staff for a year and a half,
during key diplomatic and critical moments. Mr. Ishaq Dar extended best wishes
for his tenure in Australia and encouraged him to strengthen trade, economic,
and educational cooperation, as well as to actively engage the vibrant
Pakistani diaspora. The DPM/FM expressed confidence that the High Commissioner
Irfan Shaukat will continue to serve Pakistan with distinction in his new role.
