Brief Report about Federal Minister Humayun Akhtar's visit to Sydney
Mr. Humayun Akhtar, Federal Minister for commerce stayed in Sydney to meet with the local dignitaries, businessmen & Head of Financial institutions. He was accompanied by the commerce Secretary Mr. Asif Shah and Consul General of Pakistan Mr. Azam Mohammed. He had a very short stay in Sydney before leaving for conference in Cairns. During his stay in Sydney, Mr. Azam Mohammed introduced him with Mr. Muhammad Asif, Vice President & Country Manager Habib Finance Australia Ltd, Mr. Nadeem Jaffar Area Manager PIA, Mr. Ejaz Khan President Pakistan Australia Association & Mr. Kashif Amjad MD Slimtel Pty Ltd.
The Consul General of Pakistan has also accompanied the trade delegation to attend the conference in Cairns. Mr. Humayun Akhtar in his current visit will hold a meeting with his Australian counterpart, Mr. Mark Vaille Commerce Minister & Deputy Prime Minister and discuss bilateral trade relationships between the two countries. The free trade agreement is on agenda of discussion to increase the import and export for the mutual interest of both the countries. The delegation will stay their till 23/9/06 and will depart for Pakistan on the same date.
