Aust High Commissioner Meets Pak Federal Agriculture Minister Prince Muhammad Isa Jan Baloch
Australian High Commissioner Ms Zorica Mc Carthy has assured that her country will provide all possible training to the Pakistani farmers for better production of the grapes. Ms Carthy said this during a meeting in Islamabad with Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock Prince Muhammad Isa Jan Baloch. During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual cooperation relating to the maximum yield of grapes crop in Balochistan. The MINFAL minister said the government has taken number of measures to improve the pace of development in agriculture sector with focus on the uplift of farmers community. He said that the collaboration already exists between the two countries, which should be further strengthened for upgradation of livestock, citrus and mangoes in Pakistan. Baloch underlined the need for exchange of farmers’ delegation of both the countries to benefit from the modern agro-technology and expertise of each other. Additional Secretary, Muhammad Saleem Khan Jhagra, and other High Officials of the Ministry of Food & Agriculture were also present during the meeting.

A high profile member of
farming community with rich agricultural background from Balochistan, Prince
Muhammad Isa Jan has been inducted as Federal Minister for Food Agriculture and
Livestock in the Caretaker Cabinet of Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro.
Equipped with modern technical knowhow in the Agriculture sector, he headed
National Tribal Construction Company (NTC),”a no limit civil construction
company” operating for the last 38 years .
He is the son of His Highness Sir Mir Ahmed Yar Khan the “Khan of Kalat” and was
born in October 4, 1945 in Kalat (Balochistan) and graduated in Economics from
University of the Punjab (Gordon College Rawalpindi) in 1967. He is verstile in
languages including English, Urdu, Balochi, Brohi, Punjabi, Sindi, Pashto,
Persian and Arabic.
Prince Muhammad Isa remained president Balochistan Contractors Association for
12 years and is member of Civil Construction Committee SAARC Secretariat
Islamabad.
Prince Muhammad Isa was also the Director Associated Hotels of Pakistan for 13
years, member of Balochistan Zakat Council and member Pakistan Agriculture
Research Council for 3 years.
