Pakistani Poets Arranged a Reception For Noshi Gilani at Islamabad Club
Noshi Gilani and her
husband Saeed Khan are coming to Sydney in the third week of January 2009. Last
week they were in Islamabad. Prominent Islamabad poets and media personalities
Mehboob Zafar and Ghazanfar Hashmi organised a beautiful reception to celebrate
the marriage of Noshi Gilani & Saeed Khan.
The function was held in Islamabad Club's banquet hall and attended by
Islamabad's key writers, intellectuals, media personalities as well as
bureaucrats. Some of those who attended included Haleem Qureshi, Shabnam Shakeel,
Shuaib Bin Aziz, Prof Ehsan Akbar, Manzar Naqvi, Lt Gen (Rtd) Abdul Qayyum,
Aftab Iqbal Shamim, Anwar Siddiqi (Vice Chancellor International Islamic
University), Dr Mehmudal Hasan Butt (Vice Chancellor Allama Iqbal Open
University), Ashfaq Gondal (Federal Secretary Information), Jalil Aali, Dr
Saeeda Iqbal, Almas Shabi, Asghar Abid & Anjam Khaleeq.
