John Howard Officially Welcomed in Pakistan
Australian Prime Minister John Howard was accorded a warm reception when he arrived at the Prime Minister House for an official welcome ceremony on Tuesday. Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz received his Australian counterpart. National anthems of the two countries were played. A smartly turned-out contingent of the armed forces presented the guard of honour.
The Prime Minister introduced members of his cabinet, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Services Chiefs of the Australian Prime Minister who also introduced members of his entourage to Shaukat Aziz. The two Prime Ministers then began one-on-one meeting before the delegation level talks.
