New Pak Consular for Sydney S. Khalid Mahmood has arrived in Sydney
Presently Visas, Passports and related services in Australia are only being provided by Pakistan High Commission in Canberra but High Commissioner Syed Jalil Abbas Jilani announced in Sydney on the Pakistan Independence Day function that the Pakistani Consulate Sydney will recommence visa and passport processing in few months. On the behalf of the Pakistani Community, Sada-e-Watan would like to say thank you to the Government of Pakistan and our High Commissioner Syed Jalil Abbas Jilani.
Last month Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan announced the appointment of Mr. S. Khalid Mahmood as first Consular to the Consulate General of Sydney Australia. He has arrived in Sydney but all consular services will start from the end of December 2007 after completing formalities between the Govt of Pakistan & Australia. Mr. Khalid Mahmood held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan Missions abroad. Recently he was serving as Deputy Chief of Protocol of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad Pakistan.
