Disaster Relief efforts for Earthquake victims

As you are well aware, the earthquake in Pakistan has resulted in the worst disaster in the country’s history, and millions are now homeless and in desperate need of shelter and emergency relief.

Many of you have asked how you can help. The Pakistan government has identified tents, blankets and medicines as immediate priorities. Locally, you can support Pakistan by sending blankets and jumpers for the people who are out under the sky and mercy of the weather.

From Asia Pacific our relief efforts are being coordinated by Khalil Allahwala

Monetary donations for relief efforts can be made to The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. World Vision, CARE and Doctors Without Borders also are assessing needs in the disaster areas and are accepting donations. Save the Children also is responding to victims of the earthquake.

In terms of our EDS community, I am pleased to let you know that EDS has accounted for all employees in the impacted areas and has no facilities in the area of the earthquake.
