Prominent Broadcaster & Renowned Contributor to Indian art & culture in Australia Kumud Merani is Presenting “The Nautch Girls” at Enmore Theatre,Enmore Sydney
Dear Zafar Bhai,
I am staging a show called “The Nautch Girls” on Saturday 21st Aug. This is about the true life anecdotes and achievements of the Dancing Girls of India during the British Raj and Mughal Period. Please find attached an E Flyer and synopsis, which I request you to take a moment to read and include yours popular online newspaper Sada-e-Watan.
Through 12 Kathak style and a couple of Bollywood dances, this show entertains in the style of our Nawabs and British elite. However, the true objective is to build a closer understanding between the sub-continent and Australia. In that regard the story has consciously been interwoven with the gripping drama of an Australian girl on a special mission to India. Naturally, it involves a few Australian actors. It promotes the Indo-Pak Culture and Art far beyond Bollywood.
I thought the event would be of interest to your network of readers and friends. I shall be grateful if you could promote the event and encourage people to make a bulk booking at a discounted rate.
