Shia Network organised a joint Last Majis before Rabiul
Awal
In NSW and in other states of Australia, Shia community
organises commemorative events, Majalis from the first of Muharram till
Aarbaeen.
This time a joint Majlis comprising of various groups was organised by Shia
National Network of Australia Inc. on 16th of August 2026 in Muhammad
Rasulallah centre in Regents Park, Sydney.
Beside many local multicultural and multilingual groups, representative of
Dua-e-Zainab, Khadmeen Hazrat Abbas. Imam Raza centre, Imam Ali centre, Panitan
welfare centre Ltd Sydney, Sajjadia Sydney, Muhammad Rasulallah from Sydney and
a representative group from Melbourne Anjuman Dare-e- Batool had participated
in the joint activity. It was a great manifestation of unity and brotherhood
among different cultural and linguistic groups.
Ulama from Indian, Afghani and Iraqi communities were as well in attendance.
After Maghrabain prayer the event had started with the recitation by Qari Ali.
Mr. Khalil Amini was the master of ceremony. Brother Azam Haiderabadi recited a
poetry in Urdu language.
An Iraqi Alim Sayed Ammar Al Kizwani in Persian and Syed Rehan Zaidi in Urdu
had spoken about the tragedy of Karbala and the sacrifices of Imam
Hussain (as), his household and his friends for the sake of Islam.
Special plaques with pictures of the shrine of Imam Hussain(as) on behalf of
Shia Network was handed to all participating groups by the resident Alim of
Markiz-e-Irshad Lidcombe, Sydney.
After the presentation of plaques the Secretary of SNNA , Syed Zawar Shah
thanked all attendees in particular the representatives of the involved groups
from Sydney and Melbourne.
