The show began with smaller sets by local artists to warm up the crowd. Adeel Harrison was on the DJ set for all of the local performances. This included a set by Sydney’s own Bluntz. He was supported by another local singer, Adnan Gill. Together they delivered a unique Indian/English fusion style of music that endeared the crowd. Chants of “Once More” were being heard as they left the stage. These artists set the tune for what was to come, an enjoyable and epic night of touching music.
As Hard Kaur came on stage the show erupted. Hard Kaur is the first ever female Indian rapper. Hard Kaur performed her set alongside world-class Dhol player Rupi Hothi of Platinum Dholis. Mr. Hothi also runs his own entertainment company based in Sydney called Tantra Nights. Hard Kaur performed her hits including "Ek Glassi" and other numbers from Bollywood films such as Kismat Konnection, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Prince.
This mesmerizing performance was proceeded by the dreamy voice of KK who was greeted by a huge cheer from the crowd as he took the stage. His soulful singing was highly entertaining with the crowd feeding off his every word. KK, full name Krishnakumar Kunnath, performed hits such as “Make Some Noise for the Desi Boyz” and “Mujhko Pechaan Lo Main Hoon Don” from the hit Bollywood film Don 2. Everybody enjoyed the melodious music and there was a vibrant atmosphere in the arena.
