Pakistan's Cricketer Mohammad Asif Returns to Pakistan from Sydney

Two weeks ago Pakistan's fast bowler Mohammad Asif was sent to Australia by the Pakistan Cricket Board to seek treatment for his nagging elbow injury. After arriving in Sydney, M. Asif met with Dr Paul Allot, a specialist in sports medicine injuries who decided that he requires surgery for his chronic joint problem.

After successful surgery Asif found the root cause of his injury which ruled him out of the current tour of India. "It has troubled me time and again for the last two years and it was terribly disappointing to miss the Indian tour," he said. Asif has taken 51 wickets in 11 Tests. Mohammad Asif was born on December 20 1982 in Sheikhupura Punjab. Asif stayed with Munir Khan's  family in Auburn Sydney. He departed for Pakistan on Wednesday 19th Dec 2007 from Sydney International Airport. Mohammad Asif was thankful for the best wishes and said Eid Mubarak to all friends living in Australia & other countries.
