Mayne, one of the prominent Australian pharmaceutical company, has generously donated 2 million tablets of Doryx (antibiotics) and around 2000 Units of Betadine Surgical Scrub. The total weight of the whole package is 8000 kgs and market value of these medicines is above Five Hundred Thousand ($ 500, 000.00) dollars. The donation is being air-lifted to Islamabad with the courtesy of Qantas and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
The Bazm-i-Adab Canberra, which is behind securing this donation, is extremely thankful in this regard to the Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan, Mr Sarfraz Khanzada, who has assisted all the way to enable airlifting of these medicines to Pakistan. Thanks are also due to Qantas Staff Officer, Mr Michael Kanfna and PIA's (acting) Manager, Mr Saleem Shahani, for their valued assistance.

The Bazm is an incessant campaigner in seeking all possible help for the earthquake victims from Australia. Mr Mohammed Ali, Secretary Bazm, has expressed deepest and sincerest thanks on behalf of the Bazm to Mayne Pharma International, in particular to Ms Leigh Willis, who has made the dream of sending medicines for Pakistan Earthquake victims possible.
