Mehfil-e-Mushaira in Canberra this Saturday
Bazm-e-Adab Canberra is organising an
evening of Urdu poetry (Mehfil-e-Mushaira) this Saturday in the honour of the
visiting Indian poet and critic, Dr Arman Hasan Najmi. A critical review of Dr
Arman's contribution to Urdu language will be presented, which will follow the
presentations (Taza Kalam: Ghazals and Nazms) from the distinguished poets from
Sydney and Canberra. The poets who will contribute to the evening are:
Om Krishan Rahat (Sydney),Mrs Farhat Iqbal (Sydney), Arif Sadiq (Sydney)
Ghulam Gilani (Sydney), Mohammed Ali (Canberra), Atique Siddiqui (Canberra),
Kishore Nagrani (Canberra)
Venue: Belconnen Community Hall, Swanson Circuit, Belconnen
(Near Belconnen Shopping Mall Canberra)
